By virtue of a note dated June 10, 1976, from the Ministry of General and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Suriname to the Embassy of the United States of America at Paramaribo, the Government of the Republic of Suriname is deemed to have succeeded to the treaty rights and obligations of the Kingdom of the Netherlands arising from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, in accordance with customary international law.
